UIC now invites candidates for the following position which is expected to be filled in February 2019:
Established in 2006, International Journalism (IJ) is one of the first programmes developed at UIC. Over the years简称歌 , we have been dedicated to bringing together experienced media professionals and committed scholars who share the passion in quality college teaching from China and across the world. The fast-growing curriculum enables our students to explore the broad field of media and communication while offering them a solid training in English writing马加爵遗书 , reporting水原有纱, and editing across media platforms.
Job Description
We are looking for a colleague with developed expertise and teaching interests in one of the following areas: new media乔新江 , communication and technologies泰坦蟒 , and global media culture. Experiences in supervising students on in-depth reporting and/or research topics related to the Greater China Region would be a plus.
Job Requirement
Candidates should have a PhD degree with developed teaching and research experience in Media and Communication in Greater China or abroad. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate teaching excellence. Preference will be given to candidates who can undertake independent research leading to outstanding outcomes, including publications in high quality international-refereed journals.
Appointment Terms
Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Commencing salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Fringe benefits include housing allowance (applicable to Assistant Professor and above), leave and medical insurance. Continuation of appointment beyond the initial term will be subject to mutual agreement.
